Sometimes when you’re not looking for something it smacks you in the face so hard you can’t ignore it. That’s how I fell into the writing world. After being diagnosed with dyslexia I was given little to no chance of ever reading or writing, and I could forget about ever going to college. Boy were those experts wrong. Years later, I now hold two degrees and have written four novellas and am on my seventh full length novel. Not to mention the countless short stories. I was glad to disprove them. If I hadn’t I might not be in this world I love so much.
I found writing at a time in my life when I needed it the most. Everyone has their own demons to battle mine first came in the form of a learning disability and then later when my personal life took a devastating turn for the worst. When that happens people tend to look for an outlet to take them away from the turmoil. For me it was books! And okay I know you might laugh at this but it all started with Twilight. From that moment on I was sucked into the world of fiction devouring one book after another.
It wasn’t until I stumbled upon the Immortals After Dark series by Kresley Cole that I decided to start writing my own novels. And so it started with my first Urban Fantasy novel, after bouncing from genre to genre I’m finally back to writing what I love. With, of course, my pup at my feet I create to my hearts content just to bring you, the readers my stories.
